Collection: Marcella Cappi

São Paulo, Brazil based in Barcelona

Marcella Cappi (b. 1998) is a Brazilian artist born and raised in São Paulo, a city known for its diverse culture and vibrant street art. Growing up amid the colorful graffiti walls and the complex, sometimes chaotic urban environment, she developed a visual approach shaped by layered and often contrasting elements.

Her work reflects this mix of influences through complex compositions that combine figurative and abstract forms. Marcella is also deeply inspired by Brazilian poetry and its use of wordplay and double meanings, which she incorporates into her practice by blending words and images in intuitive and experimental ways. Her creative process is organic and imaginative, constantly exploring the relationship between language and visual expression.

Marcella graduated with first-class honors from the University of Hertfordshire in 2023. Since then, she has been developing her artistic research and work in Barcelona, working at Zeit, where she continues to explore themes of color, form, bodies, and letters in her vibrant and dynamic art.
